Deal creates $200m advertising budget.

Jul 02, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Wesfarmers' takeover of Coles Group will force a readjustment of Coles' $A150 million advertising account. The merger could also potentially create an entity with a $A200 million annual advertising budget, ultimately creating Australia's largest advertiser. ACNielsen Media Research estimates that Coles spent approximately $A151 million on media advertising in the 12 months to 31 May 2007, while Wesfarmers spent $A47.8 million advertising the Bunnings hardware chain and a further $A2.9 million advertising its other businesses. There is speculation that STW Communications Group and The Brand Agency could be among the winners under a shake-up of the Coles-Wesfarmers...
