Bottling plant a tough sell for Coke.

Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2007

Jul 03, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Analysts continue to be divided over the prospects for Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA). Although CCA shares rose by 20 per cent in the first six months of 2007, five of 11 brokers covering the stock recommend selling. The stock closed at $A9.28 on 3 July 2007, but the brokers' price targets range from $A7.70 to $A8.90. Among factors to concern analysts is the delay in selling the South Korean bottling business, which has delivered poor returns for nine years. CCA hopes to sell it for $A700m.
