Alinta bosses "out of control".
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2007
Byline: Michael Weir
Jul 04, 2007 (The West Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An $A820,000 bonus to Alinta's non-executive directors has been criticised by the Australian Shareholders' Association (ASA). Ian Curry, president of the ASA, contends that if special payments are called for, they should have shareholder approval. The ASA views the $A820,000 bonus as an instance of remuneration "spiralling out of control". Alinta counters that the non-executive directors took part in 80-plus extra board and committee meetings after the power company was placed on the market following a proposed management buy-out.
