Jul 05, 2007 (Ad News - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The senior management structure of the merged Fairfax Media/Rural Press entity has been revealed. Of the five senior executives, only CEO David Kirk is from Fairfax. Three have moved directly from Rural Press, including former CEO Brian McCarthy, now deputy CEO of the new entity. The fourth, Lloyd Whish-Wilson, formerly McCarthy's deputy, had retired in August 2006 but has been persuaded back into the workforce by his old boss. McCarthy became CEO of Rural Press in 1994 when it was worth just $A400 million, but was able to transform it into a $A3 billion company.
