Coles: please do better than copy Woolies.

Jul 08, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Coles Group could improve its business by adopting new retail trends rather than competing with its major rival. Coles' new owner, Wesfarmers, plans to seek ideas from the international retailing world. US-based Whole Foods, which specialises in organic food, has been well received in the UK. Experts believe that Coles should differentiate itself from Woolworths. UK retailer, Sainsbury, turned its business around by returning to an offer of quality fresh food at value prices.
