Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2007

Jul 09, 2007 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) forecasts that superannuation funds will begin to invest in developing economies across the globe. It noted that this trend will accelerate, and said that the growth of local currency and bond markets across Asia, South America and Eastern Europe has begun to attract money from overseas pension funds. The BIS added that this is a sign of the international diversification of capital. The overseas diversification is taking place relatively slowly in Australia.
