IAG looks for passage to Indian insurance.

Jul 09, 2007 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- It has been reported that Insurance Australia Group (IAG) is in talks over an investment in an Indian insurance company. IAG would not comment on the reports that it is negotiating to acquire Chubb's former 26 holding in an insurance joint venture with Housing Development Finance. Travellers and ERGO Insurance are also reportedly interested in the insurance joint venture. Shares in IAG increased $A0.06 to $A5.76 on 9 July 2007.
