Jul 10, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian retailer, Woolworths, has upgraded its profit forecast after strong sales. On 10 July 2007, Woolworths announced that sales from its Australian food and liquor businesses rose by 9.6 per cent in the June quarter. It raised its profit forecast for 2006-07, predicting a lift of between 25 per cent and 27 per cent that would increase profit to as high as $A1.29 billion.
