Jul 10, 2007 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- University of Sydney ecologist, Chris Dickman, says dingoes should be reintroduced to New South Wales (NSW) to protect native animals from feral ones. Dickman told a biodiversity and extinction conference at the University of NSW that farmers could protect their stock from dingoes by using alpacas, llamas and donkeys as watch animals. Dickman, who conceded his proposal would be controversial, suggested introducing dingoes to national parks in NSW.
