Asciano puts own message to workforce.

Jul 11, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian stevedoring company Asciano has assured workers that no decision has been made to transfer existing state-based compensation schemes to the federal Comcare. Asciano's Don Telford says workers compensation reviews are being conducted, but maintains that changes will not be made without consultation with the workforce. Asciano is the holding company for Toll Holdings assets. ACTU president Sharan Burrow is suspicious about the claims of worker consultation, as the licence to transfer to Comcare has already been approved.
