Consumer watchdog accuses Google of deception over search results.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2007

Jul 16, 2007 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) has laid out a legal challenge to search engine giant Google. The consumer watchdog has accused the company of misleading consumers by failing to differentiate effectively between paid search results and unpaid results. Google results are divided depending on whether the results are organically generated or not, however the ACCC believes the distinction is not clear enough. Google has vowed to defend itself rigorously against any legal challenge. The case will proceed further in late August 2007.
