Jul 16, 2007 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Law firms in Australia increasingly let skilled staff travel overseas and work there for some time, in the hope they will return to the business later. In the case of Marina Lloyd, who started at Allens Arthur Robinson in 1999, a partner organised a job for her in the UK when she wanted to leave in 2004. She kept in touch with the old employer and rejoined it on coming back to Australia. Allens runs an alumni program that keeps track of departed staff and proactively lets them know they are welcome back.
