Jul 16, 2007 (Weekly Tax Bulletin - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Taxation Office has released the average foreign currency exchange rates for June 2007. Taxpayers should remember that the new currency conversion rules, contained in subdivisions 960-C and 960-D of the Income Tax Assessment Act, oblige them to translate amounts in foreign currency into Australian currency at current exchange rates. Taxpayers are reminded that the following countries use the Euro exchange rate: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
