Scholars sought for IT studies.
Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2007

Jul 16, 2007 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is experiencing difficulty in securing applicants for $A5.6 million worth of scholarships. Up to 200 scholarships of between $A25,000 and $A28,000 each are currently available. John Ridge, of the ACS Foundation, believes the problem in attracting scholarship applications stems from a decline in IT enrolments and to a lack of interest in undertaking paid work experience in the sector. La Trobe University is among the institutions that is having trouble giving away scholarships. That university cut numbers in its faculty of science, engineering and technology earlier in 2007.
