IOOF-AWM merger clears due diligence hurdle.

Dec 15, 2008 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Due diligence on a proposed merger between IOOF and Australian Wealth Management (AWM) has concluded. The proceedings did not identify any factors that would prevent the deal. AWM shareholders can expect to receive scheme documents in February 2009. IOOF MD, Tony Robinson, expects the merger could be completed by early April. The deal involves IOOF issuing one share for each 3.73 AWM shares.
