May 27, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Tony Wyllie, of Jones Lang LaSalle, claims tenants in Australia currently hold the power in the nation's commercial property sector. As at late May 2009, there are reports of tenants demanding lower rents and incentives of up to 40%. Jones Lang recently structured a deal for a tenant in which a 17% drop in rent would be agreed to if the firm took on an additional 4,000 square metres of space.
