Westpac 'stuff-up' puts confidential customer details online.

Jun 03, 2009 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Westpac Banking has apologised for lax security that allowed the shareholder details of a client to be gained from the ASX stock exchange operator's web page and could be exploited by unscrupulous scrip acquirers. The document released to the exchange had the pertinent information concealed, but the process could be rendered useless by cutting and pasting the text.
