Remuneration and risk under microscope.

Jun 03, 2009 (Money Management - ABIX via COMTEX) -- David Abusah, the principal at Mercer, says the Australian Government appears interested in aligning remuneration in the financial services sector with the "risk horizon". He says much of the focus is on the variable components of pay. Abusah and Paul Quinn, a partner at Allens Arthur Robinson, concur that salary packaging and its links to risk management are likely to attracted increased scrutiny. Quinn says models of pay need to encourage the right behaviour by executives.
