Papers call time on Morgan figures.

Jun 10, 2009 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian newspaper publishers will fund their own readership surveys. A tender has been issued, hoping to attract local and international applications. The industry has long been in dispute with Roy Morgan, with concerns about the methodology used for its surveys. Roy Morgan plans to boycott the tender and continue its own research. It says that control of data is the issue and independent research will be favoured by the market.
