Jun 14, 2009 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The major shareholders of two Australian media groups must refinance their debt in coming weeks. CanWest Communications Group owns 57 per cent of the Ten Network, and must secure a recapitalisation deal with its creditors in the week beginning 15 June 2009. Independent News & Media, the controlling shareholder of APN News & Media, is also in negotiations with its lenders.
