Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2009

Jun 15, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- An increasing number of experts now forecast that iron ore benchmark prices negotiated between Australian producers and Asian buyers will in fact rise by some 5%, despite previous estimates for a fall of around 8%. Meanwhile talks on the 2009 price continue with Chinese clients, who unlike Japanese and South Korean ones want more than a reduction of a third from last year's price.
