Judge slams teenagers for violent pack instinct.

Jun 16, 2009 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Teenagers who took part in a three-week spate of violent incidents on the Mornington Peninsula have been sentenced in the Melbourne Magistrates Court and the Children's Court. Judge John Smallwood said the offenders displayed a "pack instinct". Their behaviour drew comparisons with William Golding's "Lord of the Flies" from magistrate Peter Mealy.
