Firms step up coal gas campaign.

Jun 21, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian Government is being lobbied by the emerging waste coalmine gas sector to extend the label of renewable energy to this resource, as the relevant legislation is being held up in the parliament. Energy Developments and Envirogen are the two proponents in the industry, which relies on surplus methane to generate electric energy of 215 megawatts combined.
