Peter Tunjic, a director of consulting firm Thoughtpost, says the role of boards has narrowed over the past 30 years to overseeing the financial performance of the company. This trend has negative consequences. According to management thinker, Peter Drucker, financial performance is the result of the company's successful use of resources, and not the source of success.
