Margin resilience comes into focus.

Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The margins of Australian companies have generally held up quite well, with the majority remaining above those seen during the earnings downturn of 2002. Atul Lele of Credit Suisse forecasts that the margins of financial services groups will be the first to rebound. Meanwhile, the margins of consumer discretionary stocks are likely to be among those to come under the most pressure in the upcoming reporting season.
