Holes in case against Vioxx: Merck.

Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The defence has made its closing arguments in the class action case brought by sufferers from alleged side-effects of the Vioxx anti-arthritis drug against manufacturer Merck. The Federal Court of Australia has heard that the claimants' legal team had failed to conclusively prove that Vioxx was linked to heart problems in the lead client, and instead resorted to flawed facts to sway judge Christopher Jessup.
