Aircraft health monitor imitates nervous system.

Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) -- New technology developed by Australian researchers will use comparative vacuum monitoring to aid safety in aeronautics. Carbon fibre components used in aircraft will have embedded sensors that can register cracking and structural flaws in real time, even during flight. Aerospace companies in Europe and the US will be interested in the innovative approach.
