Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- A workable compromise appears closer on the issue of employee share schemes, with the Australian Government prepared to reverse some of the decisions on taxation announced in the 2008-09 Budget, in time for the end of the current financial year. Critics say the reforms could cause hardship for those required to pay tax now even though the scrip will only be issued to them later on.
