Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The manufacturers and retailers of industrial clothing are suffering amid the decline in Australian mining activity. Steven Camarda, of Workforce Clothing, says orders have fallen as mining groups cut back on spending, while Steve Petherick, of ABIS Workwear, claims business at his firm is approximately 30% down on the corresponding period in 2008. Helen Kevans, of JPMorgan, expects industrial clothing sales will continue to fall, as unemployment increases.
