Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Many companies held off purchasing assets until the tax break legislation passed parliament and are now struggling to purchase before the 30 June 2009 tax year deadline. This has been particularly difficult in relation to the investment allowance on plant and equipment. Companies need to remember that any tax concessions still require the initial outlay.
