Experts says Merrill erred.
Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2009
Byline: Patrick Durkin
Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- In late June 2009, legal counsel for Merrill Lynch moved to discredit options trader, Andrew Semple, as a witness. That followed Semple's testimony that Merrill should have closed out the short positions of Sydney client, David Waterhouse, in mid-January. Paul Anastassiou SC, representing Merrill, told the court that Semple acted for Waterhouse's wife a decade ago. It is anticipated that Waterhouse will give evidence in coming days.
