Jun 22, 2009 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) -- The role of non-executive directors is likely to come under increased scrutiny in the wake of an adverse finding against seven directors of James Hardie Industries. HSBC Australia's Graham Bradley says the ruling may discourage people from taking up directorships, while others note that all directors will have to take more care with regard to the disclosure of market-sensitive information.
