Emerson signs joint venture with Bosch. (Emerson Electric Co.; Robert Bosch GmbH)

ST. LOUIS, MO.--Emerson Electric Co. and German-based Robert Bosch GmbH have signed a joint venture agreement that combines the Skil Corp. with Robert Bosch Power Tool Corp.
The agreement, signed last November, is the second joint venture between the two industrial giants in the past 18 months. In July, 1990, Emerson Electric and Robert Bosch GmbH purchased Vermont American Corp., a producer of cutting tools and power tool accessories.
Bill Davis, an Emerson Electric executive vice president, said the venture combines the strengths of two important industry players.
