An increasing number of safety equipment distributors are tapping the expertise of manufacturers to make end users aware of the importance of proper safety measures. The trends facing the safety industry parallel those in other sectors of industrial distribution: integrated supply, consolidation, and a change in the role of manufacturers' sales representatives.
