Software monitors and plans energy use.(Rockwell Automation)(Brief Article)(Product Announcement)
Industrial Distribution, July, 2001
MILWAUKEE--Rockwell Automation introduced software that monitors energy use throughout a networked enterprise, providing real-time and historical data on energy usage. Rockwell's RSEnergy Version 2.0 is a Web server-based software program that helps users proactively manage energy demand and usage.
Users may also create custom rate plans using a rate plan wizard tool. RSEnergy helps control energy costs while optimizing productivity by providing information that is used to determine load factor, identify peak demand periods, correlate consumption with facility activities and evaluate savings from power aggregation. The program assists firms in creating incentives to save energy and making managers responsible for energy-wasting behaviors.
