JLG Industries to expand with 300,000-sq.-ft. plant purchase.

JLG Industries, Inc., has agreed to purchase a 40-acre site near its McConnellsburg, PA-based headquarters to expand its aerial work platform manufacturing operations. The site includes a 300,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility that JLG said it will outfit to produce its boom lift and scissor lift products.

The plant is expected to begin production by early 2000 and will employ approximately 400 workers. The property purchase and plant upgrade are expected to cost $25 million.
