* Public Service Electric & Gas, CMI Plastics and Royal Lubricants were among the recipients of the 1999 New Jersey Governor's awards for safety performance and continued excellence. The awards were celebrated at the National Safety Council's Mid-Atlantic Safety Expo 2000, held in Atlantic City, NJ, June 13.
The National Safety Council is a non-governmental umbrella organization for promotion of safety and the dissemination of information. New Jersey Labor Secretary Mel Gelade commended award recipients along with the state's 200,000 employers for their commitment to safety and for maintaining an injury record below the national average.
