Johnson controls to acquire York.(INDUSTRY NEWSLINE)

Johnson Controls, Inc., and York International Corp. announced last month that Johnson Controls, a Milwaukee, WI-based manufacturer of automotive systems and building control systems, will acquire York, a York, PA-based manufacturer of heating, ventilating, cooling and refrigeration systems. With estimated annual sales of $5 billion, York will become part of the nearly $6 billion Controls Group of Johnson Controls.

In an industry release, Johnson Controls said the total value of the all-cash transaction is anticipated to be approximately $3.2 billion, including the assumption of approximately $800 million of York debt.
