SINGAPORE With tourism high on the agenda, the Singapore Tourism Board has invited interested parties to submit concepts for integrated resorts in Singapore. MGM Mirage, Kerzner International and Wynn Resorts have emerged as the major gaming operators looking to capitalize on the opportunity. MGM Mirage has partnered with CapitaLand, one of the largest listed property companies in Asia, in a proposal for an entertainment complex at Marina Bayfront. Kerzner, also with CapitaLand as a partner, is targeting Sentosa Island for its resort complex. According to local newspaper Straits Times, Wynn is eyeing a site in Marina but has yet to reveal whether it will have a local partner.
