Fisher-Price program targets Latinos.(News Watch)

East Aurora, N.Y. -- Toy maker Fisher Price has launched a marketing campaign targeting the growing Latino community in the United States.

The integrated program debuted in October and focuses on Fisher-Price's "Play. Laugh. Grow." campaign. For now, the campaign will target parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers in three key Hispanic markets: Houston, Los Angeles and Chicago.

Fisher-Price has looked at recent U.S. Census numbers that show that one in five children born in the United States is Latino, and between 2001 and 2010, the number of Latino children ages 9 and younger will increase by 22%. Meanwhile, the number of non-Latino children in the same age group will decline by 1%.
