A MAJOR NEW BIBLIOGRAPHICAL RESOURCE for those interested in the history of Britain and Ireland and the British overseas is now available. By permission of Oxford University Press the Royal Historical Society is making an electronic version of its bibliographies freely available over the internet. The bibliography, which can be accessed at http://www.rhs.ac.uk/bibwel.html covers books and articles both in journals and in volumes of collected essays. With around 300,000 items the resource is unique in the historical discipline for its scale. The material is searchable by author, title, place, personal name, time period covered, and subject.
