Quebecor World purchased three, short cut-off, wide-web Lithoman presses for its retail insert platform. The manroland webs will be installed in the U.S. and Canada. The first of the presses will be operational in Q3.
Parent company Quebecor Inc. is suing over the move, arguing that the two companies had a previous verbal agreement in which the printer would use excess capacity at a printing press owned by Quebecor Media. Quebecor Inc. claims a verbal deal should stand. So far courts have ruled otherwise.
