Conde Nast/WeddingChannel Tie the Knot.(Brief Article)

New York -- WeddingChannel.com, the L.A.-based online planning resource for weddings, entered into a strategic alliance with Advance Publications Inc., the parent company of Conde Nast Publications. The agreement includes an $18 million investment by Advance Publications in WeddingChannel.com, and the launch of joint marketing programs.

WeddingChannel.com will become the official Web site of Bride's magazine (a Conde Nast publication); Bride's will become the print outlet for WeddingChannel.com. Bride's magazine has an estimated circulation of 5 million, and WeddingChannel.com had a record 1.5 million visitors in the month of June. Together, the companies are positioned to meet the needs of the $70 billion wedding market.
