Schneider Electric, the electrical distribution, industrial control, and automation systems company, and Thomson Multimedia, developer of digital set-top boxes and consumer electronics, have formed a global partnership to develop powerline communication technologies able to transmit digital data through the household electrical system without additional wiring.
