DigitalGlobe's (Longmont, Colorado) QuickBird[TM] imagery and 3D visualisation technology from Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation have been used by ABC News for the network's coverage of the war in Iraq. This combination gives viewers a realistic, current perspective of Iraq's geography based on imagery with 1m or better resolution. E & S used the QuickBird imagery to develop a 3D database of Iraq and surrounding areas
