Telefonica contracts Alcatel for triple-play upgrade.(CONTRACTS)

Telefonica de Espana has contracted Alcatel to provide access, aggregation, and optical networking solutions, enabling the telco to offer high-bandwidth triple-play interactive services to its consumer and corporate customers. Alcatel will deliver its 7302 Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM) platform, its 7450 Ethernet Service Switch, and its 1692 Metrospan Edge and 1696 Metrospan WDM solution, for the delivery of triple-play services, Storage Area Network (SAN) extension, and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.
