MIT Lincoln Laboratory and Naval Research Laboratory partner with Ciena to upgrade BoSSNET to 40G DWDM.(CONTRACTS)

Ciena Corporation announced that it is partnering with MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to upgrade the Boston South Network (BoSSNET)--an applications and network test bed for researching high-bandwidth (10s of Gbps per wavelength), long-reach (approx. 1,000km) all-optical transmissions--using the company's standards-based, all-optical DWDM technology.
