The Transport Group of Shell Lubricants recently celebrated its support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation with an event honoring one of the Foundation's "Wish Kids". In a reception at the Shell offices in Houston, Amir, a 14-year-old boy from Pearland, TX, had his wish granted and accepted a $100,000 contribution on behalf of Make-A-Wish from product representatives for Shell ROTELLA T.
The funds were pledged to Make-A-Wish in 2004 for the purpose of granting five wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. Amir's wish was simply to have a big-screen TV so he could watch his favorite team, the Houston Rockets, in action.
