Intel Corp and Cable & Wireless HKT to accelerate e-Business
Intel Corp and Cable & Wireless HKT have announced a memorandum of understanding intended to accelerate e-Business in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region.
The agreement, outlined by Intel president and CEO Craig Barrett and Cable & Wireless HKT's chief executive Linus Cheung, contains two major elements. Focusing on small- to medium-size businesses, Intel will offer Intel architecture-based server platforms and Intel NetStructure communication products for Powerb@se, the newly branded data center services of Cable & Wireless HKT. For consumers, Cable & Wireless HKT and Intel will collaborate on e-Home initiatives to drive broadband Internet deployment in Hong Kong.
