ESD Simulator

EE-Evaluation Engineering, Nov, 2007

The NSG 437 ESD Simulator meets the holding time of at least 5 s required by the global ESD standards. During air- and contact-discharge operation, it generates pulses of 200 V to 30 kV. The simulator features interchangeable network modules with resistance values from 0[ohm] and a capacitance up to the nanoFarad-range. It has a threshold detector to eliminate faulty discharge counts and a touch-panel display including a keypad for parameter setting and control showing functional and test data. Preprogrammed settings for IEC/EN 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605 ensure the NSG 437 is correctly set up and the menus are retaining the settings. Teseq, www.rsleads.com/711ee-179
